HONORS COMPETITION

What it is: Statewide Competition for serious and competitive students of all instruments and voice with heavier repertoire demands.

Who is eligible: Students of CAPMT District 9 Teachers ages 26 and under.

CONTEMPORARY MUSIC

COMPETITION

What it is: Statewide Competition for highly motivated students of all instruments and voice with contemporary repertoire.

Who is eligible: Students of CAPMT District 9 Teachers ages 26 and under.

What it is: District Level Competition featuring sonata and sonatina works of classical genre.

Who is eligible: Students of CAPMT District 9 Teachers ages 26 and under.

What it is: Non-Competitive Performance Opportunity

Who is eligible: Students of CAPMT Greater Pasadena Chapter Teachers

New This Year - Time Restrictions: Up to 12 years - 5 minutes, 13-15 years - 7 minutes, 16 years and above - 10 minuites

The Second Year Event!
PIANO MOCK AUDTION
What it is: Distinguished Artist Professors, Kevin Fitz-Gerald and Bernadine Blaha from USC will be on the panel to guide students to prepare for their college auditions. This audition is open to 4 students in CAPMT District 9 and 2 students in any area. Please submit the video to show the repertoire and the short profile after 8/15/23 to Dr. Junko Ueno Garrett at junko@oxy.edu.
